"Topdog/Underdog"

Sunday February 21, 2010 in the Black Box Theatre located in the Performing Arts Center of Adelphi University, the show of "Topdog/Underdog" came to an end. Under the direction of Maggie Lally (Associate Professor) and starring Matthew Hancock ('10) & Patrick Johnson ('10) they witnessed their last show nearly sold out. Matthew and Patrick were given a very well deserved standing ovation at the completion of their performance Sunday night, and they did not forget their director Maggie and gave her a bouquet of flowers.

With the final curtain down, within a period of 10 minutes, the crew started on their dissembling of the stage and getting the room back to normal. After all the time and effort it took to get the stage, music, lighting and seating together and ready for the show, it was that time again to take it all down. With everyone working together and in an orchestrated order they were able to get everything done in just a few short hours and back to their lives outside of the theatre.
Stay tuned and visit the Adelphi Performing Arts Center as they get ready for their next show, "Steel Magnolias." The show will premier Tuesday March 9, 2010 at 7:30pm in the Olmsted Theatre and run through Sunday March 14, 2010.

The PAC Gets Blanketed

On Wednesday February 10, 2010 the Adelphi Performing Arts Center was closed due to inclement weather. The Garden City campus was closed down entirely when a snow storm dumped over a foot of snow. Classes and regularly scheduled activities did resume the next day on Thursday February 11, 2010. Due to the day of missed classes, the classes will be made up on Monday April 12, 2010. That Monday will act like a Wednesday for faculty and students.
